New toy

Bought myself a new toy yesterday. The Roku soundbridge. Now I can play my music collection that is on my media server from my couch in the livingroom. Right now I using the wireless feature to connection to my LAN but I might need to install another wireless accesspoint to get a better connection having only 10 out of 100 in connection quality. This is me in the couch LOL.

2 weeks = 2 months

I will not have a internet connection for two months. My ISP (Bredbandsbolaget) informed me that the company (Skanova) that install equipment in the telephone stations had delivery problems this summer. So instead of waiting two weeks I now have to wait two months , aargh. It is really interesting to see how much you need internet these days.

On the move

We are today moving to our new apartment. After working on the new apartment for a month now we a finally on the way. As we will not have any internet connection for a while it will probably be quite slow here on the website. Well, off I go.

Human after all

This weekend I bought my first legal music over the net. I tried the Apple/iTunes music store out and bought myself a nice electronic album, Human after all with Daft Punk.

The registration was a peace of cake and the one click feature almost maked me shiver, it was almost too easy to buy an album. After clicking the buy button, I got an alert asking if I was sure. I clicked yes and the download began. I had a few problems with the download, not really sure what the problem was. Maybe the Apple servers had a lot of visitors this weekend as the store opened last week here in Sweden. I just used the resume feature to get all the songs downloaded.

The price is now 90 SEK (13 dollars) which is not too bad, of course it would be nice with even a lower price but it is a good start.

I will probably buy more albums this way Keep on rocking.

New apartment

Today we where at the bank to sign the last papers and get the key to our new apartment, yihai. The upcoming months or so will probably be quite slow here on the site as I and Sara need to fix quite a lot in the apartment. We will stay in our old apartment to the end of May before we do the final move. May will be the big fixing month.

First day

Today was my first day at the Swedish tax authority. The first impression was that there was a lot of nice people that I will work with. Feeling really excited starting a new job. It will be great fun to start to chew on something new, though I now feel a bit fuzzy after a long day with a lot of new names and new routines.

Last day at work

Friday was my last day at Nordea. All my colleagues, both old and new came by and gave me a nice farewell feast with cake and champagne. I also got some nice gifts as smoked salmon, some old work lists from 2000! and a nice t-shirt. It was of course a bit sad leaving all, how will Nordea now manage without me Probably a drop in the share on Monday when the news hit the market, hehe.

New work

It is now official. I have gotten a new job at Skatteverket (Swedish Tax Administration) so goodbye Nordea and hello Skatteverket. I will work as a web developer, mostly like I do today. Having worked for Nordea for almost five years it will be great fun to start off with something brand new but also sad leaving great colleagues at Nordea.
