Safari for Windows

This is cool. I´ve been running the KTHML for Windows series for a long time, the last time it was number five. Today Apple released an official version of Safari for Windows. I will try it out and see how it works. This is really great for frontend developers when wanting to support Safari. Now we can run tests right from the desktop without having to switch to a Mac.

Do you know if it’s rendering like KHTML on other OSes? I have tested it on some pages which are partly devastating broken and I’m sure they look fine on Safari/Mac…

I haven’t had any time to test it yet. If it doesn´t use the same rendering enginge on Windows and Mac I´m not sure it will have any good use for webdevelopers as I was hoping for. Also, check out this post.

As far as other blogs write the rendering seems to differ. That’s not good, since testing pages for Safari/Mac on Safari/Win makes no sense.
