I found a really easy way of installing IE7 as a standalone, now you don’t need to install IE7 just to try out your site. (via del.icio.us)
This site is no longer updated but kept as it still get lots of traffic. You can find more updated information about me at jenswedin.com.

Great stuff for www-developers! 2 bad it crashed on http://www.dn.se after 1 minute (and page wasnt finished yet). Keep it up!
Cheers!
Your IE7 as a standalone instructions toasted my IE6. Every link in IE6 opened the window in 7 and hung the application. Finally, I deleted the IE7 directory and my IE6 will no longer function. Since I have SP2, there is no way to uninstall and reinstall IE6 and I need it for testing. Now everytime I open IE6, the first page loads but any links open a second browser and hang the application until I end it through the task manager. Any advice? Thanks!
Hmm, strange. I have no clue what the problem can be. I tried the instructions and had no really problem. You might write in the post over at Googlesystem and see if others have had the same problem.
If you’re looking for the launch script for IE7 beta 3, pay “http://tredosoft.com/IE7_standalone” a visit. You won’t be disappointed, I promise
Thanks Yousif
same here Nancy, starting up the IE7 standalone version made my IE6 instalation highly unstable.. it is NOT recommended for developers for use as test suite ! and indeed setting the flag isinstalled=0 in the reg still won’t let you reinstall IE6… this sucks ;(
