Daniel: Thanks, I did write a part about usability in this post but decided later on not to include it. I thought the post would be just too long with that part. I even re-read the usability report before starting to write the post.

I do agree with you, the usability testing for this project was really great. We did learn a lot from it but as many times, too bad that there was such a lack of time to implement all the improvements. Hopefully there will be time in the future to implement them.

Nice written, Jens!

Even if you're writing this from a web standard's point of view, I think it's important not to forget to mention the usability testing which clearly plays a role in the design process. Sorry that it - timewise - was badly planned, though.

Martin: Thanks for your comment. YeehI agree that the file is too big. The thing was that we wanted everything used on a Nordea site to included in the css file, not just what is needed for this website. If I would have done this today I would probably divided the css file into several files and the load them whenever they would be needed. Now there is a lot of stuff not needed for this site.

The ampersands issue was something that came from SIX that we could not change when we where working on this project. Too bad, hopefully they will fix this in the future.

This is really interesting, to see how large scale web sites are built. I like the way your style sheet is documented and structured, maintaining it must be a bit more easy than before. ;) (but do you really need a stylesheet that large? 36.94 kb..!)

By the way, your ampersands arent written as & but & in the code. Maybe a trifle but.. ;)

Nicely written. Well done!
